MAINE WORKSHOPS
For over 20 years, David Dewey has been conducting watercolor workshops in Maine, throughout New England and Europe. His national reputation, breathtaking watercolor paintings, engaging informative teaching methods and demonstrations have drawn students to his workshops from throughout the United States and Europe. Owl's Head and Rockland, Maine with it's magnificent harbor setting, galleries and restaurants, is the location of workshops, and summer residence for David and his wife Kathy. The workshops take place on location beginning with a lecture and demonstration and concluding the day with an encouraging review that focuses on: the watercolor medium and materials, on-location painting methods and skills, composition and COLOR. The expressive power of COLOR is the key focus of all of David's lectures and absorbing watercolor demonstrations and the primary reason for the great popularity of all of his workshops.
